My name is Dr. Lori B. Large. Doctor of Physical Therapy with 15+ years of experience.
Why/How I became a Physical Therapist:
I was born and raised in Toledo, OH. I sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) at the age of 14 resulting in hospitalization and rehabilitation. It was through this experience; I knew I wanted to be a Physical Therapist. I pursued my dream and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Health & Allied Professions from the University of Dayton, OH in 2004. I then graduated with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami, FL in 2007.
Throughout my Career:
I gained experience in all settings to become a well-rounded PT, so I can truly understand what my patients and their families have been/are going through. I have worked in the areas of Acute Care, Inpatient Rehab as well as Outpatient and Home Health with various populations ranging from neonates, pediatrics, adults to geriatrics. I have throughout the years focused my specialty in the area of Pediatrics.
I have worked for the University of Michigan Health System, OrlandoHealth- Arnold Palmer & Winnie Palmer Hospitals, Nemours Children’s Hospital, NeuroRestorative and UCP of Central Florida Charter Schools to develop my expertise.
I am a Qualified Brain Injury Support Provider (QBISP) and an Instructor for Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid.
